Our innovation accelerator program will jumpstart your organization’s knowledge of design thinking — and immerse cross-functional employees in solving real world challenges. Our goal? Empowering them to apply a formalized design and innovation process to solve the many types of challenges affecting your customers and your business.

Structured for Results

We’ve crafted a set of seven training modules to impart the key mindsets and methodologies of design thinking — and help your organization develop practical innovation skills. A combination of on-site workshops, remote webinars, practical assignments, and timely coaching sessions will steadily move your team toward developing implementable solutions.

Defining Focus
We’ll start the program by helping your teams examine existing data to identify areas where pain points exist for both your customers and your organization. Armed with this information, they’ll define an initial area of focus that will guide their work throughout the remaining modules. 
Developing Empathy
We’ve been programmed to jump into solution mode as soon as we hear about a potential issue. But to create meaningful innovations, your teams must take a step back to fully explore the problem space.
 
Your teams will learn how to identify and understand people’s underlying motivations and articulate their unmet needs. We’ll provide guidance on developing a research plan and help them leverage both in-person and remote research techniques.
Redefining Focus

Once they’ve developed empathy for the people they’re designing for, your teams will identify the most important problem for them to solve. This problem will likely be related to the initial focus, but reframed in a meaningful way based on the insights they uncovered.

Solution Ideation & Prioritization
Ideation is just a fancy word for “coming up with lots of ideas.” And by lots, we mean LOTS. Why do we do this? Your first idea won’t likely be your best — but even a terrible idea can be the seed of someone else’s fabulous brainchild. 
 
We’ll help your teams select the most promising solutions from their pool of ideas, utilizing a combination of people- and organization-focused prioritization criteria.
Prototyping & Testing
Your teams will create low-fidelity prototypes with easy-to-use digital prototyping tools — or even craft materials!
 
While these prototypes might not look ready for prime time, we’ll teach your teams how to show these prototypes to real users to solicit their feedback and learn what works (and what doesn’t) quickly and cheaply.
Business Case Development
In order to gain buy-in for their proposed innovations, your teams will need to do more than show executives their prototypes and testing feedback. They’ll need to show them the numbers.
 
We’ll help your teams create a high-level business case by modeling the potential, yet realistic, impact of their solutions on metrics that matter to you organization.
Storytelling For Business
This final module will help your teams understand narrative structures and create compelling stories to promote their innovations in the world’s most abused productivity tool: PowerPoint.

What You’ll Get

On-site workshops
At the beginning of the accelerator, we’ll deliver core content in several one- and two-day on-site workshops so we can dive deep with hands-on exercises and get to know your team.
Webinars
As the accelerator continues, we’ll deliver additional modules during 90-minute webinars. This allows us to provide just-in-time training while keeping your costs down.
Training Materials
You’ll receive the slides, workbooks, and one-page “cheat sheets” from all on-site workshops and webinars.
Ongoing communcation
We’ll meet regularly with each team to provide input on their work and guidance on next steps — and provide quick feedback and answers through a dedicated Slack channel.
Tangible innovations
Your teams will make significant strides toward defining solutions that will improve key parts of the current experience — and compelling business cases to back up their proposed solutions.
